A hidden knifethrower's target. It was turned upside down and used as a bottom basement shelf in a house built in 1959. Hidden evidence? Was a death involved? What was the story and why was it never revealed? The artist recovered the target in 2015 and found some interesting facts that may be fictions about an underground and unlicensed circus that, again fact or fiction, had a very unfortunate knife throwing accident that may (or may not) have killed a lovely target girl. It is a story told by its only remnant, a wooden target, beautifully finished by the artist, and ready to grace your house with its mystery.
I was raised in the Pacific Northwest and the rich visual imagery of popular American culture. I am a diverse-works artist but am often described as representing the low-brow genre. From pop to classic portraiture, I seek an eclectic approach to painting. I'm frequently drawn to obscure subjects and time frames. I also believe the art should speak more than the artist. Thanks for observing and considering my world view through the art I've created.
